Belgian unions are organising a national Day of Action in protest against government economic reforms affecting pensions, unemployment benefits and public sector working conditions. The strike is expected to cause major disruption at the airport and across public transport networks. Significant delays and cancellations are likely throughout Belgium, and travel plans may be affected even beyond the country due to knock-on operational impacts.
