Travel Alert: French air traffic control union SNCTA has announced a three-day strike from 7 to 9 October

The SNCTA air traffic control union in France has announced a strike from 7 to 9 October, which is expected to cause major disruption to flights.

The action was originally planned for 18 September but was postponed after the collapse of the French government. The union is demanding better pay and working conditions and has instructed staff to stop work from the morning of 7 October until the end of night duty on 10 October. Exact timings have not been confirmed.

Delays and cancellations are likely across France and for flights travelling through French airspace. Uniglobe Gemini Travel is monitoring the situation and assisting affected travellers.
