Avanti West Coast Strike Action- Affecting Sundays From 12 January-25May 2025.

The RMT union has announced strike action affecting Avanti West Coast on Sundays from 12 January to 25 May 2025. On these dates, timetables and operating hours will be significantly reduced and trains that do run are expected to be busy.

If you need to travel on Sunday 26 January or Sunday 2 February, be sure to check your journey before you travel. Engineering work and football fixtures will affect journeys across the rail network on both weekends.

To reduce the number of people disrupted, ticket sales are suspended for strike days as soon as they're announced.  Find the next few expected dates below.

• Sunday 26 January’s original timetable is available in online journey planners and tickets are back on sale further to the strike on this date being called off.
• Sunday 2 February’s strike timetable is expected to be published by Monday 27 January.
• Sunday 9 February’s strike timetable is expected to be published by Monday 3 February.
• Sunday 16 February’s strike timetable is expected to be published by Monday 10 February.
• Sunday 23 February’s strike timetable is expected to be published by Monday 17 February.
