UK: Adverse Weather Conditions & Potential Disruptions

The Met Office have put in place yellow warnings in anticipation of adverse weather conditions across the UK for the next few days. An overview of the warnings can be found here UK weather warnings - Met Office
 
The strongest winds will be over England and Wales with gusts near 70mph over coasts and hills in the south and west.
 
About 30mm of heavy rainfall is expected widely across the UK. Rain is forecast to be heavier in Wales on Wednesday, which could bring some flooding.

National Rail is advising people to check their journey in full before travelling -.major engineering works taking place over the holidays.You can check your journey using the National Rail real-time Journey Planner.

Flight disruption and cancellations are anticipated and people are advised to check the status of their flights.  People are being advised to plan and allow extra journey time for travelling to airports.
