We’re pleased to share a positive update for travellers using Gatwick Airport at the end of the summer holidays.

The proposed strike action by baggage screening staff, which was due to take place from 29 August to 2 September 2025, has now been cancelled. Following negotiations, a new 7% pay agreement and associated benefits were accepted by staff, meaning operations will continue as normal during this busy travel period.

This news will be a relief for passengers planning journeys through Gatwick, helping to ensure smoother check-in and security processes at one of the UK’s busiest airports.
