Travel Update: Gatwick Airport

We’re pleased to share a positive update for travellers using Gatwick Airport at the end of the summer holidays.

The proposed strike action by baggage screening staff, which was due to take place from **29 August to 2 September 2025**, has now been cancelled. Following negotiations, a new 7% pay agreement and associated benefits were accepted by staff, meaning operations will continue as normal during this busy travel period.

This news will be a relief for passengers planning journeys through Gatwick, helping to ensure smoother check-in and security processes at one of the UK’s busiest airports.
