Travel Alert: Nationwide Strike to Halt All Departing Flights at Brussels Airport on 14 October 2025

Brussels Airport has confirmed that all departing passenger flights will be cancelled on Tuesday 14 October 2025 due to a nationwide trade union strike.

Belgian unions are organising a national Day of Action in protest against government economic reforms affecting pensions, unemployment benefits and public sector working conditions. The strike is expected to cause major disruption at the airport and across public transport networks.

Significant delays and cancellations are likely throughout Belgium, and travel plans may be affected even beyond the country due to knock-on operational impacts.
