London Heathrow Aircraft Refuellers To Strike From 4th May.

Important information regarding Heathrow's aircraft refuellers strike is detailed below.

A 72-hour potential strike has been announced by aircraft refuellers at London Heathrow Airport, commencing on May 4th. Fifty refuellers, members of the Unite union employed by AFS Aviation, will be participating in the strike, leading to flight disruptions and travel inconveniences. This industrial action stems from a disagreement regarding terms and conditions for new staff and is timed to coincide with the early May bank holiday, impacting a large number of travellers. The union has specified that they provide refuelling services for 35 airlines at the airport, including prominent carriers like Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, and Air France. Passengers flying with major airlines such as American, Delta, United, Air Canada, and Singapore Airlines should also be prepared for potential disruptions, as these carriers are also serviced by AFS Aviation.
