In addition to this everyone fully vaccinated no longer needs to test when returning back to the UK from abroad.
Countries you can now travel to without taking a Covid test.
- Spain- Anyone fully vaccinated and travelling from the UK can enter Spain without needing to test or quarantine regardless of your reason for travel. (Children under the age of 12 don't need to show proof or test prior to arrival)
However unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travellers from the UK cannot currently enter Spain for tourism purposes.
- France- Since February 12 fully vaccinated travellers from the UK no longer need to present a negative PCR or antigen test result before travel. This includes anyone aged 12 and over, and everyone travelling must provide a "sworn statement" to self-certify that you aren't suffering from any Covid-19 symptoms and haven't been in contact with any confirmed cases in the 14 days prior to travelling.
Travellers not fully vaccinated need to provide a travel certificate which "proves the reason for essential travel" and may also still have to take a test on arrival.
- Portugal- If you’re fully vaccinated, you can enter Portugal without needing to test using your UK Covid Pass to demonstrate your vaccination record. If you’re not fully vaccinated, you’ll need to show proof of a negative PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours before entry) or rapid lateral flow test (taken no more than 24 hours before entry) when you check in for your flight.
If you have travelled or transited from any of the following countries in the 14 days prior to your arrival in Portugal, you will have to self-isolate for 14 days: South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe or Mozambique.
- Greece- UK travellers can enter Greece by showing a valid vaccination certificate. Anyone aged five-years-old or above and isn't fully vaccinated can enter Greece by showing a certificate of recovery from Covid, or proof of a negative test. All travellers must also complete an online Passenger Locator Form (PLF) before arriving in the country.
- Turkey- If you’re fully vaccinated, you can enter Turkey without needing to test or quarantine. If you’re not fully vaccinated, you’ll need to show proof of a negative test, or proof of a recent recovery from Covid-19 within the last six months.
- Mexico- Most visitors from the United Kingdom can enter Mexico without taking a test, as Mexico is open to travellers regardless of their vaccination status. Travellers are required to complete a Health Declaration Form and scan the QR code it generates on arrival.
- Costa Rica- Adults who are not fully-vaccinated can visit Costa Rica without taking a test as long as they have proof of travel insurance that covers lodging and medical expenses in case of contracting Covid-19. Anyone aged 18 or under, along with fully-vaccinated adults, can enter Costa Rica without mandatory insurance.

- Finland- From 15 February, travellers will no longer have to show a negative Covid test result on arrival in Finland. But they will still have to provide proof of vaccination or recovery from the virus.
